At the Hanover Garden Club, we believe gardening offers a unique and powerful way to support conservation. Gardens, whether on private or public land, can play a vital role in creating or even restoring natural resources by fostering healthy ecosystems.

As American ecologist and conservationist Doug Tallamy reminds us, 83% of land in the U.S. is privately owned (see below for his latest videos). This means small, thoughtful actions taken by many individuals can collectively have a significant impact in combating habitat loss.
