Description: Spend a sunny morning in the Hanover Garden Club Greenhouse discovering the magic of cyanotype! Almost 200 years old, this unique fusion of printmaking and photography creates lush, cyan-blue images. We will make prints on fabric or paper in a variety of sizes using flowers, plants, and any other botanical trinkets you'd like to bring from home. Natural items like feathers, leaves, and stones will work well, but you are welcome to bring anything that can cast a decent shadow! Paper wrappers, crushed soda cans, and other found objects are welcome. All levels welcome, beginners especially encouraged. Ages 14 & up. Materials provided!

Instructor: Emil O’Melia is a teaching artist from Baltimore, MD. They have taught all sorts of arts & crafts to youth, teens, and adults. Nowadays, you can find Emil printmaking, cartooning, designing, or investigating haunted places in White River Junction.

This program is free and open to all within the 15-person limit at the HGC Greenhouse. Please register via email: hclubweb@gmail.com.

Students may register for one, two, or all three sessions of 2-hour cyanotype classes. Each of the three sessions will welcome beginners, while inviting returning students to build on their previous work by experimenting with different layers and materials. You are welcome to sign up for one, two, or all three dates!
